With hurricane season upon us, you and your community need to be prepared for the worst. And one of the worst things that can happen at a nursing home is that residents or staff members become dehydrated. For that reason, we suggest you stay away from having lots of available diuretics and that means limiting coffee consumption to a minimum. If you want everyone to stay hydrated, make sure there are plenty of other drink options available, especially good old H2O.
